My Cruise Onboard "Adventure of the Seas" (April 1-6, 2022)

I just got back from my second cruise of this year onboard Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas and it was a quick, but relaxing trip. The Adventure of the Seas was very similar to the Liberty of the Seas that I was on back in January, but it was also noticeably smaller. Both ships are of two different classes: Voyager-Class (Adventure) and Freedom-Class (Liberty), which makes sense with the size difference, yet many of the onboard venues are almost identical, such as the Royal Promenade, theaters and many of the bars and restaurants.

Adventure of the Seas

Adventure of the Seas has many activities, restaurants, bars and shows to keep guests busy at all times. This specific cruise that I was on featured two production shows in "The Lyric Theatre" featuring singers and dancers. There were also two other shows, one featuring a comedian and another one that featured a group of singers, both of which were fantastic. There was also one show in Studio B (ice theater) called "Cool Art Hot Ice" that was performed 4 times this voyage.

The entertainment on this cruise also came in the form of trivia, gameshows and karaoke that featured both talented and terrible singers. The eased Covid restrictions on this cruise also allowed for the return of a few gameshows, such as 'Friendly Feud," a twist of the show "Family Feud". Many of the activities took place in the "Imperial Lounge" located on Deck 5 just above the theatre.

Apart from all of the indoor entertainment and activities, there is also a lot to do on the open decks. One of my favorite activities on this ship was the mini-golf. Adventure of the Seas is the only ship I have been on that has a mini-golf course spanning across two decks. I thought that this was really cool and it was a lot of fun.

This ship also features the Flowrider and two waterslides on the sports deck. There is also a multi-use sports court with a small rock climbing wall behind it.

Adventure of the Seas

One thing that I liked about this ship is that the bow/helipad was accessible for guests, just as it was onboard Liberty of the Seas. However, it was kept open at night onboard Adventure of the Seas, allowing for guests to stargaze on a clear night and view the night sky and the ship from a different perspective.

Another cool thing about this ship is that it has a place called the "Peek-A-Boo" bridge where guests can walk through an area with windows that look into the bridge, giving up-close views of the ship's control consoles. This place also has great views of the sides of the ship!

Overall, Adventure of the Seas is a great ship that I would love to cruise on again in the future and I did create a video tour of the ship that you van view by clicking here. I hope you enjoy it and thank you for reading about my adventures!
