Paradise Beach Cozumel

When the cruise that I was on earlier last month stopped in Cozumel, I stayed on the island and spent the day at a place called Paradise Beach. This beach was about a 10 minute drive from the pier. The cost once arriving was $60 per person and it included access to the beach and unlimited food and drinks. For an additional $10, you can use the floating obstacle course and go kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding as many times as you want to, which is what I did.

I was at Paradise Beach for about 6 hours and I did as much as I could in that time. I spent some time walking on the beach, swimming around to the different structures in the floating obstacle course and I took a paddle board out multiple times throughout the day.

This was my first time using a stand-up paddle board, but it only took a couple of minutes to get my balance. I only had a hard time keeping my balance when it was really windy and when there were a lot of waves from the wake of passing boats. However, stand-up paddle boarding was easily my favorite thing to do at this beach.

If you aren't feeling adventurous, you can just take a dip in a large pool or relax in a private cabana or a beach chair. I arrived early around 8:00 in the morning when there were few people and that was the best time to enjoy the pool before it started getting busy around 10 to 11.

One of the other activities was snorkeling, but the water at this beach wasn't very clear, so you couldn't see much underwater. The Chankanaab Beach Park that I went to back in January was much better for snorkeling and is located just a few miles north of Paradise Beach.

Overall, Paradise Beach was nice and I enjoyed my time there, but I'm not sure if I would go back to this specific Beach again. I think that I would choose Chankanaab over this, but I definitely enjoyed paddle boarding here.
