A Day in Castaway Cay

One port of call on my recent cruise onboard the Disney Wish was Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas. This small island is packed with activities like beaches, hiking trails, and water sports. I only had time to do a few of the island's many activities this time.
I've visited this island four times now and I've explored most areas of it. This time, I started my day at Castaway Cay with a 5K that goes throughout the island. The Castaway Cay 5K path goes through the forest hike/bike trail and the airstrip. I stopped at the observation tower about halfway through the 5K and enjoyed the view for a few minutes, and then ended with an hour at the beach.

After a nice lunch and some relaxation time at the beach, I decided to rent a bicycle and ride through the 5K route and to the opposite end of the island. I made a few stops to rest and enjoy the different views of the island.

When I arrived at the point on Castaway Cay furthest from the ship, I stopped for a few minutes to take in the beautiful scenery of what felt to be an untouched beach. It was very quite and peaceful because it is so far from all of the main guest areas.

After about an hour of biking around Castaway Cay, I decided to return to the beach for a final soak in the beautiful light blue water before heading back onboard the Disney Wish.
As always, I enjoyed my time on Castaway Cay and I look forward to trying something new on my next visit to this island.
